If you were worrying about what the price of the RX Vega 64 was, then you can go ahead and calm down, because it is only $150-$200 over MSRP! We can all thank AMD for this, that’s right, there’s a face to put the blame on, however, some might think otherwise, it is a tricky subject. Want to know what they have to say up how high the prices are? All they have to say is that they are going to place the blame on the gamers and miners. Of course, this should be against everything in the rulebook, because it’s supposed to be the customer is always right, then again, when has that actually ever been true? AMD says that the gamers and miners have caused this problem by causing the demand for the product to up.
Because of the increase in the demand for this product, the retailers then made the decision to up all of the prices for the product they did have left, instead of just selling it for the normal price. In my opinion, they didn’t create a solution, they just added to the problem, and that is pretty much the general opinion. Also, AMD is stating that there is no way that they can make the retailers stop selling the product for these rediculous prices. However, there are many that are thinking that there is actually a lot that they could be doing, like the retailers could stop being money hungry and AMD could simply expand and produce more product.
Of course, AMD is saying that the GPUs are getting sold by them for $499 and therefore, they have no idea why anyone would be selling their product for so much, unless the demand was up. Honestly, the only statements that they have release have involved a lot of circle talk and not a lot of solutions.
Is The Price Worth it?
Are you looking for a GPU that costs as much as one months rent on an apartment? If so, the RX Vega 64 might be for you! You can find it for the ultimate price of just $699 to $725, how amazing is that? Of course has released statements that they are trying to create more of the GPUs so that they are able to give the customers the products that they want with the high rates of demand. However, the wait for them to produce seems to be much longer than most users are willing to wait. There are those that are making the argument that AMD should just expand their operations so that they are able to meet the high demands for the product, afterall, if they are making a lot of money, why wouldn’t they be able to do that?
Of course, there is also the fact that users would be able to buy the GTX 1080 Ti and get a lot more out of their money, if they are indeed going to have to pay so much for the Vega 64. Of course, users are starting to do exactly that, simply because they know that the GTX 1080 Ti performs better and it also runs a lot cooler, making it more worth the higher price tag than the RX Vega 64.
Also, there is the fact that the RX Vega 64 is rumored to not run nearly as good in terms of mining, making miners everywhere very unhappy when they do pay the higher price tag for it. Even with those facts alone being present, this GPU still has somehow managed to be sold out everywhere, making everyone just a little bit concerned about how far this mining craze is going and also making everyone wonder how much longer the retailers are going to keep raising the prices everytime a GPU starts becoming a higher demand product.
Obviously, the prices of the RX Vega 64 are in serious need of improvement. Because of the fact that the prices are $150-$200 over the MSRP it is highly recommended that users just go for the GTX 1080 Ti, which performs much better for the amount of money you will be paying.
